Solution: Don't interact with the car or the road. Drag the sun higher in the sky to make it earlier in the day. Tom's alarm goes off and he wakes up on time. The game teaches you immediately that the environment is your primary tool.

Level 2: Tom Needs Breakfast

Puzzle: Make breakfast for Tom.

Solution: Drag the egg onto the frying pan on the stove. Then tap the stove knob to turn it on. Most players try tapping the egg first. It cracks but goes nowhere. You need to place it on the pan before activating heat.

Level 3: Tom's Car Won't Start

Puzzle: Fix Tom's car so he can drive to work.

Solution: Open the hood by tapping it, then drag the battery from the toolbox on the right side of the screen into the engine bay. The battery is partially hidden behind the toolbox. You need to drag it out. The car starts automatically once the battery is placed.

Solution: The "X" on the map corresponds to a spot on the background scene. But you need to flip the map upside down first (rotate your device or drag the map to flip it). The X now marks a different location. Tap that spot on the ground. The shovel appears automatically.

Level 20: Tom Gets Home

Puzzle: Help Tom unlock his front door.

Solution: The key isn't in Tom's pocket or under the mat. Drag the welcome mat aside, there's nothing there. Then tap the flower pot. Nothing. Finally, tap Tom's shoe to remove it. The key was in his shoe the entire time. This level rewards systematic checking over assumptions.

Emily is the scientist character, her puzzles lean toward logic, experimentation, and chemistry-themed interactions. She's searching for a rare element throughout her story arc.

Level 1: Emily's Lab Experiment

Solution: Mix the red and blue beakers by dragging one onto the other. The resulting purple liquid goes into the test tube automatically. Don't tap the Bunsen burner yet. That comes later.

Level 4: Emily Needs to Read the Formula

Puzzle: The formula on the blackboard is too small to read.

Solution: Use two fingers to pinch-zoom on the blackboard. This is one of the few levels that uses a multi-touch gesture. If you're on an emulator, this may require mouse-scroll zooming. The formula reveals the correct order for mixing chemicals in the next level.

Level 7: The Power Is Out

Puzzle: Emily's lab lost power during a storm.

Solution: Drag the lightning bolt from the storm cloud outside the window onto the generator on the lab floor. The lightning charges the generator and restores power. You need to break the window first by tapping it twice. The first tap cracks it, the second shatters it.

Level 12: Emily's Robot Assistant

Puzzle: Activate Emily's robot to help carry equipment.

Solution: The on/off switch on the robot does nothing because the batteries are installed backwards. Tap the battery compartment on the robot's back to open it, then drag the batteries out and re-insert them flipped. The robot activates and picks up the boxes.

Solution: The level shows three containers labeled H, H, and O. Drag two H containers onto the O container to make H2O (water). Level 18: Harvest Time

Puzzle: Harvest all the pumpkins before sunset.

Solution: You can't pick them all individually in time. Drag Joe onto the tractor, then drag the tractor across the field from left to right. It collects all pumpkins in one sweep. But first, you need to fuel the tractor — drag the gas can from behind the barn onto the tractor's fuel cap.

Chapter 4: Sam's Haunted House (Levels 1–20)

Sam explores a haunted house. This chapter has the darkest visual style and some of the most creative puzzle designs. The scares are cartoonish. This is still a family game, but the puzzles get genuinely tricky.

Level 1: Enter the Haunted House

Puzzle: Help Sam open the front door.

Solution: The door is locked with a chain. Tap the knocker three times. Nothing happens with the door, but a key drops from above the door frame on the third knock. Drag the key to the padlock on the chain. The chain falls and the door creaks open.

Puzzle: Sam needs to escape through the front door, but every door leads back to the same room.

Solution: Stop using the doors. Instead, drag Sam to the cracked wall on the right side of the room. Tap the crack three times to break through. Sam escapes through the wall rather than the doors. The haunted house was looping the doors as a trap.

Puzzle: A monster is hiding underwater in the lake.

Solution: You can't reach underwater. Drag the plug at the bottom of the lake (look for a small circle near the lake bed) to drain the water. The water level drops and the monster is exposed on the dry lake bed. Tap the net to catch it. The plug is easy to miss because it blends with the rocks.

Level 20: The Final Monster

Puzzle: The biggest monster is too strong to catch with any equipment.

Solution: This is a multi-step finale. First, drag the mirror from your inventory to reflect the monster's fire breath back at it. The monster staggers. Then drag the rope around its legs while it's stunned. Finally, tap the cage to trap it. All three steps must happen in sequence within about five seconds. If you miss the timing, the monster recovers and you restart the level.

General Strategies for Brain Test 2

  1. Think in terms of the story, Unlike Brain Test 1 where each puzzle was isolated, Brain Test 2 solutions often make sense within the character's narrative. A farmer puzzle usually has a farm-related solution.
  2. Revisit the scene edges. Interactive objects are frequently placed at the very edges of the screen, barely visible. Sweep your finger along all four borders before giving up.
  3. Character traits are hints, Tom is clumsy (solutions involve fixing his mistakes), Emily is scientific (solutions involve logic and chemistry), Joe is practical (solutions involve farm tools), Sam is brave but scared (solutions involve overcoming fears cleverly).
  4. Multi-step solutions are normal. Brain Test 2 has more puzzles requiring 2–3 sequential interactions than the original. If one action doesn't solve the level, it might be step one of a multi-part solution.
  5. Device interactions still apply. Shaking, tilting, brightness adjustment, and multi-touch gestures all appear in Brain Test 2. If nothing on screen works, try interacting with your physical device.
